Overview

jianwencommons is a private, operator-controlled command line tool used by its developer to manage YouTube channels administered by the developer. This policy explains how the app accesses and uses Google user data.

Google Data The App Accesses

The app may request access to the following categories of YouTube data:

How Google Data Is Used

Google data is used only to perform private YouTube channel operations, including reading channel/video information, uploading videos, updating video metadata, reviewing analytics reports, and checking eligibility-gated partner or membership features. The app does not use Google data for advertising, profiling, or sale.

Storage And Retention

OAuth credentials may be stored locally on the operator's machine so the private automation workflow can run after authorization. Access tokens, refresh tokens, and client secrets are not displayed publicly by the app. Data retrieved from YouTube APIs is retained only as needed for the operator's channel management workflow.

Sharing

jianwencommons does not sell Google user data and does not share Google user data with third parties. Data is accessed only by the operator for channels they administer.

Security

The app is operated as a private internal tool. OAuth tokens and local credentials should be stored in protected local files and should not be committed to public repositories or included in public logs.

Revoking Access

A user can revoke jianwencommons access at any time from the Google Account permissions page at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions. Revoking access prevents the app from making further API calls until access is granted again.
